LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this CME activity, the participant should be able to:

  • Describe the evolution of fluidics in vitreous surgery and identify the first generally accepted techniques in vitreous surgery.
  • Define port-based flow limiting and discuss the value of high resistance at the port during vitreous surgery.
  • Explain how high cutting rates affect fluidics during vitreous surgery.
