LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this CME activity, the participant should be able to:
- Discuss the Endophthalmitis Vitrectomy Study, specifically the methods and conclusions.
- Debate which intravitreal and systemic antibiotics are most effective against endophthalmitis and whether intravitreal or systemic corticosteroid use is appropriate.
- Explain the management principles for patients who have chronic endophthalmitis and endogenous endophthalmitis.
